About Me

Translation is my profession, my passion and my way to incessantly broaden my knowledge and develop new skills.

I first started doing translations in my second year at the university, in 2002. Since 2009 I have been working as a freelancer and from that moment on I have been devoting most of my time either to translating or to building up my skills, learning new things, acquiring new vocabulary and new languages, which one day I'm hoping to include in my repertoire.

During the last couple of years I have lived in Poland, Wales, Canada and now - England. Living in a foreign country is, on one hand, an opportunity to test and improve my English in practice on an everyday basis. On the other hand, it requires me to work hard on catching up with the changes and new trends appearing in the Polish language.

• 2011 - Diploma in Translations obtained
• 2010 - Diploma in Translation postgraduate course (University of Westminster)
  
• 2008 - I have completed one semester of post-graduate studies in translation (University of Silesia)
• 2002 - 2007 - a master's degree in English Philology (University of Silesia) - specialization British and American Culture and Literature / Teaching
  
• 2005 - one semester at the University Duisburg Essen in Germany (student exchange program Socrates-Erasmus)

• summer 2007 - internship at Honorary British Consulate in Katowice
• 2002-2007 - English teacher at evening classes and in-house courses organised for various companies, I also worked on various translations projects during that period
